How much stock should be placed in recent history? Andy Dalton and A.J. Green are playing at a high level this season, while the Browns are currently terrible against both the run and (increasingly) the pass. In four meetings over the past two seasons, however, both have put up very modest production against Cleveland.
Here are the numbers for each over the past four between the teams. (They'll play again on Thursday night.) Not that many people will have better options than either player, but it's tough to look at those numbers and say either is a shoo-in for top production in this matchup.
Cleveland, it must be noted, won't have Joe Haden or Donte Whitner in this game; both will sit out with concussions. So maybe this is the week both players will beat that history.
