Problem with the NFL is that stuff keeps happening. Since we released our Tuesday sneak peek, the Patriots placed LeGarrette Blount on injured reserve with a hip injury, and the Seahawks released last week's No. 2 running back, DuJuan Harris.
Those guys, obviously, won't be starting for those teams going forward. The Patriots should go with Brandon Bolden as their lead back, with James White in the passing downs role, just like when Blount got hurt Sunday night.
The Jaguars added Jonas Gray off the Dolphins practice squad this morning. Just in the nick of time, perhaps?
DuJuan Harris seemed to be the likely starter after Thomas Rawls broke his ankle Sunday, but instead it will be Bryce Brown. Presumably; the Seahawks will likely add another running back as well. Fred Jackson should remain in his third-down role.
Christine Michael just became available, so maybe Seattle will bring him back.
Full discussion of these backfields will be in the Weekly we're working on right now.
