All this week, I have been proceeding as if Seattle would hold out a lot of its regulars this week. They will be the No. 5 or 6 seed, and does it really matter? The logical course would seem to be to hold out banged up players, maybe limit a lot of key starters and kind of help themselves to a bye week prior to playing in Week 18 at Washington, Green Bay or Minnesota.
But Pete Carroll click here." target=_new>says Seattle will treat it like a regular game.
“We’re going to go play ball,’’ Carroll said. “We’re playing ball to win.”
Of course, saying and doing are two different things. Carroll has been a notorious fudger with the truth a number of times earlier this year.
I still expect Seattle will rest starters, and I wouldn't want to start guys like Russell Wilson, Stephen Haushka or Doug Baldwin.
But I might be wrong. Carroll says the regulars are playing, and there's at least a chance it will play out that way.
Good luck to all who are still in fantasy leagues that are active in Week 17.
