Antonio Brown OUT

Receiver won't play at Denver

Pittsburgh's chances of winning at Denver just got a lot longer. Antonio Brown (concussion) has been ruled out of the game.

That's the word from the team on Friday morning, before practice. Guess he wasn't faking, as Adam Jones claimed.

In our Fantasy Index Weekly released on Wednesday morning, we double-listed all the Steelers receivers -- current, as they ranked with Brown's status uncertain, and "if Brown out." Go with the latter rankings. It's a boost for Martavis Bryant, Markus Wheaton and Darrius Heyward-Bey. (Heath Miller, too, although he doesn't actually move up in the rankings; he should just see an extra look or two.)

It's a negative, obviously, for Ben Roethlisberger, although we can't slot him any lower among starting quarterbacks in the rankings. Roethlisberger, incidentally, got in a limited practice yesterday, but no throwing -- just handoffs. He's still expected to start, but it's not certain; might be Landry Jones, or maybe Roethlisberger starts and has to give way to Jones. Nobody should be building a fantasy lineup around either quarterback at Denver.
