Carson Palmer has taken some heat for his poor performance against the Packers last week. Yes, he finished with good overall numbers, but Larry Fitzgerald did a lot of that on his own, and Palmer's 2nd touchdown pass was a dumb-luck deflection.
But maybe those of us who have knocked Palmer have been too hard on him. He's showed up on the injury report with a finger injury of late, and Albert Breer says it's affected the quarterback. If Palmer plays poorly today, maybe part of it is that he's been playing hurt.
Breer says in his report that Palmer looked good in practice this week, so maybe it's a non-issue. But it's a potential factor to keep in mind when deciding between the three quarterbacks who figure to be best today.
