Question

T.Y. Hilton is closing in on leading the NFL in receiving yards. He likely will become the 4th member of the Colts to lead the league in that category since the merger in 1970, joining Roger Carr, Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne. What is the only other franchise that's had four different players lead in that category since 1970? Each did it only one time, and the answer will surprise you.

Answer

The Cardinals, wih Roy Green (1984), J.T. Smith (1987), Rob Moore (1997) and David Boston (2001). This team has also gotten big seasons out of Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin, but they've never led the league.

I gave the hint that the answer would have surprise you. Maybe should have made that even stronger (adding that franchise had moved or that the team had two other players who'd caught 100-plus passes in this century, but they weren't among the four). J.T. Smith is a soft one because he chose to not strike in 1987, picking up 217 yards in three games against replacement players.
