Once the inactives start rolling in, there's more clarity about which players can at least be entirely disregarded with tough lineup decisions. An hour before kickoff, there are a bunch of those players officially inactive, making the remaining options stronger.
DeVante Parker is inactive for Miami, as expected. Jarvis Landry will hog targets, and Kenny Stills becomes the clear No. 2.
DeMarco Murray is active for the Titans. He's dealing with a hamstring injury and may play fewer snaps than usual, but obviously he's healthy enough that the Titans aren't holding him out entirely. I don't really think Murray can safely be used, but it also lessens the appeal of Derrick Henry.
Willie Snead is inactive. This is a plus for the Saints other receivers: Michael Thomas, Ted Ginn, Brandon Coleman. Especially Ginn and Coleman, as Thomas was set to play full-time anyway.
Jeremy Maclin is inactive, Mike Wallace is active. These are the main wide receivers in a lousy passing game on the road against a very good defense, so I'm not sure many readers were considering them anyway. But Wallace will at least be out there. Maclin will not.
Same game: Benjamin Watson is active. Also, Brandon Williams is active for the Ravens, and he's key to their run defense. A downgrade to the run game and Jerick McKinnon, although McKinnon will also be involved as a receiver, and been productive enough that he still looks like an excellent starter.
Stefon Diggs (groin) is inactive; not a surprise.
Jordan Matthews is active, so if you want to start a wide receiver with an injured hand catching passes from Tyrod Taylor, you probably won't get a zero with Matthews.
Also in the Buffalo versus Tampa Bay game, Jameis Winston is active.
