Even by convoluted legal wrangling standards, this is a little ridiculous. A brief administrative stay of Ezekiel Elliott's 6-game suspension has been granted. That means it's back on hold, and Elliott will be on the field for the Cowboys in Week 9.
Legalese can be seen at this link. But big-picture, fantasy relevant details are that Elliott can start against Kansas City in Week 9. Come next week, his suspension will either be back on, or another injunction could be granted, enabling him to play.
So when our Friday update comes out this evening, Elliott will be good and high up in the rankings -- certainly in starting lineups everywhere, unless you're unusually deep at the position. Alfred Morris will be back as a change of pace guy and not usable. Darren McFadden will likely be a healthy scratch, as he's been to this point in the season.
Should Elliott's suspension start up in Week 10, you're at the point where he'll miss fantasy playoff games in most leagues -- would be out until Week 16, which is Fantasy Super Bowl week.
