The Sunday morning injury updates are circling, and the one that stands out is one that came out last night about New Orleans wideout Michael Thomas. The clear No. 1 in a great matchup with the Falcons, Thomas showed up on yesterday's injury report with a hamstring issue, and is questionable. Update: Thomas is ACTIVE.
There were conflicting reports about his availability today, which sounds a lot like people were just guessing. Adam Schefter said Thomas was expected to play. Ian Rapoport said Thomas was 50-50, which was no help whatsoever. (Anybody remember the old Steve Martin bit: "He either will or he won't, right? That my friend is 50-50.")
With Thomas active, if you start him you run the risk of him being limited or, worse, aggravating the injury and leaving early. But if you DON'T use him, you run the risk of benching him while he has a big game in a huge Saints-Falcons matchup.
Other news:
James White and Chris Hogan are expected to be inactive for the Patriots.
Kelvin Benjamin is expected to play for Buffalo in the same game
Samaje Perine is a gametime decision for Washington. Risky to use him even if active, while Kapri Bibbs looks great if he's out (and should handle passing downs at a minimum regardless)
Allen Hurns isn't expected to play
DeVante Parker should be active
Jamaal Charles a healthy scratch for Denver...Emmanuel Sanders and Cody Latimer both out. Maybe Charles being saved to face Kansas City in Week 17.
