The Colts were left at the altar by Josh McDaniels, but they seem to have landed on their feet. Their new head coach is unproven in that role, but he's had a nice recent run as offensive coordinator, especially in terms of working with quarterbacks.
The Colts have hired Frank Reich as their new head coach, and no one is feeling bad about not getting McDaniels now. Reich actually worked as a Colts assistant coach some years back, and he's been an offensive coordinator the last four years. A successful one.
He ran the Chargers offense in 2014 and 2015, and Philip Rivers had two of his better seasons under him. He had a career high in yards in 2015, and averaged 30 TD passes in those two years. (Rivers had career highs in both completion percentage, 69.5, and passer rating, 105.5, in 2013, when Reich was his quarterbacks coach.)
The last two years, Reich has been the offensive coordinator for Carson Wentz in Philadelphia. Modest numbers as a rookie, but Wentz was on his way to a possible MVP award before blowing out his knee this season. Nick Foles came in and the Eagles went on to win the Super Bowl.
There are health questions with Andrew Luck. But if he's physically OK, you have to think he's got a favorable situation in the guy running the show in Indianapolis.
