So maybe LeSean McCoy fell so far that you had to draft him, and you were mulling whether to start him in Minnesota this week. Yes he's on a 16 1/2-point underdog team and has bruised ribs, but he's a starting running back. Well, looks like you won't have to deal with that unappetizing choice. He's not expected to play.
That's the word from Adam Schefter. It's not official, but sounds like McCoy won't be active (and if he is and you start him, you run the risk of him not finishing). The Bills would send out a committee of Chris Ivory and Marcus Murphy, with Murphy seeming likely to play most if the team falls way behind; maybe a desperation Hail Mary type of option in PPR leagues.
Some of the other updates, including a conflicting one:
Schefter says that Leonard Fournette is expected to play for Jacksonville. Ian Rapoport, though, says Fournette has an "uphill battle to play." Without playing favorites here, I consider Schefter to be a little more reliable. But if you're using Fournette over a similar option, maybe shy away from him.
Larry Fitzgerald, Antonio Gates, Cole Beasley and Aaron Rodgers are all expected to play through their injury/illnesses.
One more from Rapoport: he says Josh Gordon is "no sure thing" to play through his hamstring injury. That's the Sunday night game, so make sure you have an alternative going Sunday or Monday night if you're hoping to use Gordon, on the off-chance he winds up inactive.
Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) is out, as expected.
Blaine Gabbert is expected to start versus the Jaguars. Pretty much echoing Brett Favre starting against the Packers or Peyton Manning versus the Colts....Do not start Gabbert.
