The Sunday morning injury developments are starting to filter in. Most of the key ones came down yesterday, which is helpful, but some color there. Here's what we've got so far; I'll update in the comments thread if I see anything significant that comes along.
LeVeon Bell is out for the Jets. Ian posted yesterday about where he'd rank Bilal Powell; I did the same in my Saturday column. The risk with Powell, besides the Jets running game underperforming in the loss to the Bengals last week, is that Ty Montgomery might get a larger share of the workload than would have been taken from Bell.
Evan Engram is out, and I saw an item speculating New York would shut him down. Just speculation, but since Engram had been considered on track to play earlier in the week, you wonder if he maybe had a setback of some kind with his foot injury. Kaden Smith isn't a similar talent, but I could see Eli Manning settling for some checkdowns. Problem is Saquon Barkley, Golden Tate and Sterling Shepard are also available for those chances. But I would rank Smith pretty similarly to where Engram showed up in the Friday rankings.
Josh Jacobs (pictured) is being called a “true gametime decision” for Oakland. I don’t know what a false gametime decision is, but Jacobs is the other kind. Later kickoff, so make sure you have a Plan B if you're hoping to use him. I'm wary even if he's active; you can bet Titans defenders will be targeting his injured shoulder. I think DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard would split time, with workload pretty uncertain; not comfortable recommending either player.
Will Fuller and his troublesome hamstring pops up again. Fuller is not expected to play for Houston. That puts Kenny Stills in play as a possible No. 2. We had Fuller around 45 if active; I think Stills slots in 5-7 spots below that. Good Denver pass defense, and Stills has been hit or miss even as a No. 2.
Marquise Brown (ankle) is expected to play for Baltimore. As discussed in the Friday update, wind could be a factor in Buffalo, and the Bills are pretty good against the pass.
News item from Ian Rapoport that Odell Beckham has been playing through a sports hernia injury that will require surgery after the season. Probable factor in what's been a distinctly unexplosive season for Beckham.
