Story this week that Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is working on taking better care of the football. Probably a good idea, since fumbles that were a problem for him at Duke (19 in three seasons) carried over to the NFL. As in, the most fumbles by any quarterback in a season in the last 15 years, despite not even starting all season.
Jones fumbled 18 times in 13 games last year. You have to go back almost 20 years (when Kerry Collins, Daunte Culpepper and David Carr lost 21-23 in the 2001-2002 seasons) to find any quarterbacks who lost more than Jones. Since 2005, that's a mark Jones holds all by himself.

What's interesting is that three of the four worst quarterbacks in this regard last season all play in the NFC East. Jones, Carson Wentz and Kyle Allen (who may be the starter in Washington). Dallas had a below-average fantasy defense last season, but was slightly above-average in terms of fumble recoveries. Something to factor in when considering streaming defenses this year -- appealing quarterbacks to match up against.
