Question

Previously we pointed out that Cincinnati has selected two quarterbacks No. 1 overall (Carson Palmer, Joe Burrow) and given the jersey No. 9 to both of them. What are the only other two teams that have issued the same jersey numbers to two different quarterbacks selected No. 1 overall. For each of these other two teams, they didn’t draft the quarterbacks involved (picking them up later in their careers). None of these quarterbacks won more than 20 games with these teams.

Answer

Oakland (#3 jersey) with Jeff George and Carson Palmer.
Philadelphia (#7 jersey) with Michael Vick and Sam Bradford.
