NFL Injury Report

Final injury adjustments

Picking through the Friday injury report

I’ve got the Friday injury report in front me. We discussed the players for the six Saturday teams on Thursday, but we can now see the official injury designations for the Sunday guys.

A run down on the most notable names.

Washington lists Terry McLaurin (ankle) as doubtful. He’s not going to be playing. Both Alex Smith and Antonio Gibson are question. Smith was a full participant at practice on Friday; I’m sure he’ll be starting. Gibson was a limited participant all week; I would expect he’ll give it a go.

James Robinson (ankle) is questionable, but he didn’t practice at all for the entire week. I wouldn’t be optimistic about him being active tomorrow. If he plays, he’ll be less than 100 percent.

Chicago is calling Allen Robinson (hamstring) questionable. He didn’t practice at all Thursday but was able to return on Friday as a limited participant. I would expect he’ll be out there. Other guys who have tried to play through hamstring injuries, however, have been less effective at times. Whatever you thought of Robinson on Tuesday, makes sense to rank him a little lower.

Chargers are calling Keenan Allen (hamstring) questionable. This one concerns me. He played a severely limited role in their last game. If he’s not right physically, I think they’ll dial him back (or maybe even leave him inactive). Allen didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday but returned to practice in a limited role Friday.

When we last checked in on Marquise Brown (knee) he was missing practice on Thursday. But Brown was a full participant on Friday and is tagged as questionable. I think you can use Brown with the expectation he’ll be pretty much 100 percent.

Cowboys list Ezekiel Elliott (calf) as questionable. He was a limited participant in practice all week. I expect he’ll be active and starting, sharing time with Tony Pollard. With Elliott being at less than full strength, Pollard probably will see more touches than he normally would.

Packers are calling Jamaal Williams (quad) doubtful. I expect they’ll use AJ Dillon as their backup and change-of-pace running back. Aaron Jones (toe) was a limited participant in practice all week, but they say he’s playing.

Atlanta, as expected, ruled out Julio Jones (hamstring). It also will play without two offensive line starters: James Carpenter and Alex Mack.

Kansas City lists Tyreek Hill (hamstring) as questionable. At this point, if you have Hill, I think you have to use him. Andy Reid on Thursday said he expects Hill to play. But worth, of course, keeping an eye on. If KC were to take a big lead, I could see them shutting Hill down early.

Denver has officially ruled out Phillip Lindsay. As discussed in the Thursday supplement, this should result in more touches for Melvin Gordon.

Carolina, as previously discussed, is going without Christian McCaffrey and Russell Okung.

Bengals have ruled out Tyler Boyd. In the same game, Houston will go without Duke Johnson.

Steelers are calling Chris Boswell (groin) questionable.

Giants have ruled out Golden Tate (calf). They’re calling Daniel Jones (ankle, hamstring) questionable. Jones was a limited participant all week in practice – trending towards being in the starting lineup.

Nothing surprising or notable from the Rams-Seahawks games. Cam Akers has been ruled out, but that was known earlier in the week.

Would you roll with Brown today or Tyron on Sunday? A lot of mouths in TB

I don't consider Tyron to be the "go to" guy for the Chargers. Mike Williams is healthy. Jalen Guyton was busier than Johnson in their last game.

Get James Robinson out of your lineups, he’s out. Fortunately I started Drake instead.

Currently playing Nick Chubb and Cleveland D. What effect the 4 WR's sitting out/COVID ?

Cleveland LOST all of its starting WR's to COVID tonight. Unreal, but I wouldn't;t touch it. Marvin Hall, Ja'Marcus Bradley and Derrick Willies will be the Browns' three active receivers against the Jets.

Happy Sunday. In a 12 man ppr league. Would you start A Gibson, over A. Cooper or Coutee? Thanks.

Mayfield without the four WR or Russell Wilson against the Rams who he always struggled with?

Note... I've already got huge points from Kamara and Miles Gaskin so just need a solid outing.
