Bucs’ cannons silenced for Super Bowl

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the first team to play a Super Bowl in their own stadium, but they will not have all the comforts of home. The NFL, to maintain the integrity of the Super Bowl being a neutral site game, will not allow the Bucs to fire their stadium cannons at will during the game. As part of the Bucs’ typical game day program, the cannons are fired during trips to the red zone and after every score. The team will be allowed to fire the cannons during pregame introductions, and after the game if the Bucs win.
