Question
Remarkably, Kansas City was held to only three field goals in Super Bowl LV. What are the only other two teams that have been held without a touchdown in a Super Bowl?
Answer
Miami and Los Angeles. The Dolphins in Super Bowl VI lost 24-3 against Dallas. The Rams two years ago lost 13-3 against the Patriots. While scoring and offensive production generally have exploded over the years, two of the teams not scoring touchdowns in the 55 Super Bowls have come in two of the last three years. Three other offenses have failed to score any points at all in Super Bowls, but in all of those cases the teams scored touchdowns on special teams (Washington losing 14-7 against Miami in the 1972 season, Minnesota losing 16-6 against the Steelers two years later, and the Giants losing 34-7 against the Ravens to cap the 2000 season).
