Question

What was the only team that last year had two different players with games with more than 180 receiving yards? It’s not a team that would quickly come to mind. Both of the players came up big in night games at home that were nationally televised.

Answer

San Francisco, with Richie James and George Kittle. In a Thursday game against Green Bay, James caught 9 passes for 184 yards and a touchdown. Kittle in a Sunday nighter against Philadelphia caught 15 passes for 183 yards and a touchdown. Three other teams had two players with over 160 yards. Seattle (Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf) makes sense, and also the Texans (Will Fuller, Brandin Cooks). The outlier is New England. The Patriots didn’t have much success passing the ball, but Julian Edelman went for 179 yards at Seattle, while Jakobi Meyers finished with 169 yards in a Monday night game against the Jets.
