Chargers TE Henry headed for free agency

The Los Angeles Chargers decided this week not to franchise tag tight end HUNTER HENRY before the Tuesday deadline, meaning he is set to become a free agent next week. Henry played last season on a tag that paid him $10.6 million, but the team is taking a different approach heading into the upcoming season. Henry, 26, is entering his sixth season after being a second-round pick in 2016. Henry was quarterback JUSTIN HERBERT’s second-favorite target last season, behind wide receiver KEENAN ALLEN.
