Question

Using PPR scoring, DeAndre Hopkins has finished as the 4th-best wide receiver in each of the last two years – with the Texans and then the Cardinals. Who was the last other wide receiver to finish with top-4 PPR numbers for different teams in back-to-back seasons? Going back to the ‘70s on this one. Looking for a deep threat who played his college ball at Jackson State, then starred for the Eagles, Rams and Patriots.

Answer

Harold Jackson. He finished with the 2nd-best receiving numbers in the 1972-73 seasons with the Eagles and Rams. (He moved from Philadelphia to Los Angeles in a trade involving quarterback Roman Gabriel.) Randy Moss, Terrell Owens and Brandon Marshall have had top-5 seasons with different teams, but not in back-to-back seasons with different teams.
