Question

What’s the only university that once had two future NFL Hall of Fame wide receivers on its roster at the same time? They didn’t actually ever play in a game together; at one point, one was a senior while the other was a freshman who didn’t appear in a game his first season. (One of these players is being inducted at Canton this year.)

Answer

Tulsa, with Drew Pearson and Steve Largent. Pearson played there from 1970-1972. Largent followed him in the 1973-1975 seasons. (In the early ‘70s, it was unusual for freshmen to play; the NCAA didn’t allow it at all until 1972).
