The Sunday morning injury reports are coming out, and there's a big one for those who have either Dalvin Cook or Alexander Mattison (pictured). Adam Schefter is reporting that Cook (ankle, questionable) is unlikely to play.

Cook being inactive, which is the current expectation, makes Mattison look like a top-10 option. No one need ask, "Should I start Mattison over...." unless you're fortunate enough to have a couple of top-10 backs to start ahead of him. He should play something close to full-time in a game that figures to be higher scoring (these teams played a 27-26 game last year, and Mattison in that one carried 20 times for 112 yards, while Cook went for 65 and a touchdown).

Other news and notes...

  • Darrell Henderson (ribs) is not expected to play. The Friday rankings update showed where Sony Michel would rank with Henderson out. It's not a lofty spot, because he's facing the league's best run defense that past 2 years, and it's possible he'll lose at least some passing downs chances to rookie Jake Funk (Michel is not a great pass catcher). Should be a starting running back and maybe the ball winds up on the 1-yard line and he scores at some point, but not a great choice.

  • DeAndre Hopkins (ribs) is expected to play for Arizona. All of the guys we listed "if Hopkins out" need to be viewed under the "if Hopkins active" rankings. From what I'm reading, though, it sounds like he might be limited. Limited snaps seem possible; I don't think he'll be the kind of dominant wideout we typically expect.

  • Carson Wentz is expected to start through a pair of ankle sprains. Not sure what to say beyond, the risk of an in-game setback seems high. Not a guy I'd be considering, and I'm cool on the main receiving targets, too.

  • Antonio Brown is out, Diontae Johnson is out, Tee Higgins isn't expected to play. These things were apparent and/or official on Friday.

Will post other significant inactives in the comments below should anything surprising occur.
