The last-minute injury updates are coming in, and if you're hoping to use a questionable player, it looks like you'll be in luck. Conversely, if you were hoping one of them would be inactive, making an alternative choice look more promising, it appears you'll be disappointed.

  • Cordarrelle Patterson is one of the key ones, a difference maker when on the field this season. He missed last week and is now being called a gametime decision with his ankle injury. Sounds like he'll probably be active, but there's some risk of an in-game setback. I think if you have a similarly ranked, safer option, you go with it. But Patterson can't just be disregarded, either.

  • With Aaron Jones, there have been conflicting reports. One says there's optimism, another suggests the team might be thinking about holding him out, with the team's bye next week. I think if he's active, I'd use him, but there's still a good chance he won't be (making AJ Dillon a fine choice). Could be a 50-50 backfield if Jones does play, so might make sense to look elsewhere -- again, if you have a comparably ranked option.

  • Saquon Barkley (ankle) is expected to play for the Giants.

  • Marquise Brown, questionable with a thigh injury, is expected to play. I'd use him as normal in a favorable matchup with a Browns defense that's been vulnerable to the pass.

  • Elijah Mitchell, questionable with that finger injury, is expected to play for San Francisco. Most likely he'll be removed in passing situations, probably for Jeff Wilson, and Deebo Samuel will also get some carries. I think Mitchell is usable especially in standard scoring, but his upside is capped by the injury and the presence of Wilson. Catching passes won't be happening, it seems.

  • New England lists most of its roster as questionable, including both running backs and both tight ends. Looks like those guys are playing.

  • Donovan Peoples-Jones is expected to play for Cleveland. I think there's some risk involved, since earlier this season he was scratched after aggravating an injury in pregame warmups. If I was hoping to use Peoples-Jones, I'd at least want to make sure I had another option in either Cleveland-Baltimore or the Monday night game, just in case.
