Every Saturday morning, I'll take a quick look at all the week's games, offering my own brief take on what I think will happen, as well as touching on significant injury news since our Weekly came out. I'll check in every so often over the course of the day to answer lineup questions, too.

What follows is a brief look at all the games with how I'd react in my own lineups to injury developments or other news. The official rankings are the ones in the Weekly. Those take precedence. But sometimes players are very close, and in those cases I'm glad to offer opinions on how I'd approach those situations. Sometimes I like certain players more or less than Ian, and sometimes I have different risk tolerance with injuries etc. If I don't get to your question, either I missed it (it happens) or the rankings are very clear.

Eagles at Football Team: Big mysteries with these teams is at running back. The Eagles won't have Miles Sanders, but will still probably have a Boston Scott-Jordan Howard-Kenneth Gainwell committee. Washington won't have Antonio Gibson, but will have Jaret Patterson-Wendell Smallwood-Jonathan Williams. Patterson and Scott look best, but can't get too high on these players. Everything else pretty straightforward.

Rams at Ravens: Tyler Huntley the likely quarterback for Baltimore. Rams passing game should lead the way given the matchup and the thought that they'll try to get Cooper Kupp to some records (although winning the game needs to take precedence. Marquise Brown the notable question mark. I'm not confident he'll play and would be worried about setback, so I'm looking elsewhere.

Buccaneers at Jets: We don't think Mike Evans (hamstring) is playing. If he's active, I wouldn't use him. Ideally he just won't be traveling with the team today so there's no uncertainty. I would chance Antonio Brown, if active, and Breshad Perriman (former Jet, for what little that's worth). Ronald Jones looks great, Michael Carter and Braxton Berrios viable for New York; someone has to catch passes.

Dolphins at Titans: Seldom has a team been less impressive while winning seven in a row than Miami. No interest in their ridiculous running back committee. Jaylen Waddle seems to be the lone real value in their passing game. The Titans haven't played much good football in a while, but I'd use A.J. Brown. And that's pretty much it for viable players here.

Jaguars at Patriots: Damien Harris looks good and Rhamondre Stevenson looks usable. I expected New England to run for about 150 or more and a couple of touchdowns in this game. Neither passing game looks viable. If I were going to use a Jaguar it would be Dare Ogunbowale, but I'm not expecting him to be featured and can't even guarantee he'll get half the snaps. So I don't like him that much. I don't expect New England to pass it a ton.

Raiders at Colts: I'm not sure if Carson Wentz will be active, and since we don't know whether is personal bout with COVID was no big deal or actually affected him, I certainly wouldn't use him even if he is. Should be a big Jonathan Taylor game. With the Raiders, there's Jacobs-Renfrow and to a lesser extent Foster Moreau, and that's about it. Colts passing game, Michael Pittman should see the most targets but some risk of the passing game doing much, whether it's Wentz or Sam Ehlinger. So not really high on the guy.

Kansas City at Bengals: Big game, weather looks OK, I'm fine using key components of both offenses. Darrel Williams should be the main KC running back. I think Cincinnati offense should be decent but Burrow's not throwing for the kind of huge numbers he did last week, so careful with these players. But this is the game I most want to watch Sunday.

Giants at Bears: It's going to be really cold, both offenses are terrible. David Montgomery looks really good, and I suppose Darnell Mooney is viable. Evan Engram because the Giants have no available wideouts except Kenny Golladay, who was good once. Chicago starting Andy Dalton at quarterback, hurrah.

Falcons at Bills: Weather also a factor here, probably mostly for the Falcons. I think Cordarrelle Patterson is the best bet, cool on the passing game. Kyle Pitts and Russell Gage are viable as the lead receivers, but neither looks great. For Buffalo, Devin Singletary leads the backfield, Stefon Diggs at wide receiver, Dawson Knox, but figuring out whether Gabriel Davis or Cole Beasley is the next best pass catcher is guesswork -- again, hard to know if some of these COVID guys were actually ill and affected by being sick, or just tested positive and not so bad. Bills should win easily and Josh Allen looks great, at least.

Texans at 49ers: Sounds like Elijah Mitchell is good to go, a small degree of risk but he should be their featured back. Deebo Samuel and George Kittle should also be fine, with the slight negative of Trey Lance starting at quarterback. Not overly interested in anything connected with Houston's offense; just Brandin Cooks.

Broncos at Chargers: Denver will have Drew Lock at quarterback and only maybe Courtland Sutton. They're going to run as much as they can, so the running backs look good and the passing game does not. Chargers are relatively healthy and fine, except the tight end position. Facing a good defense, but will Denver be fully invested in this one with some COVID absences and the playoffs out of reach? Tough to say.

Panthers at Saints: Not much to get excited about in this one. Alvin Kamara, Taysom Hill and DJ Moore all look varying degrees of good. Saints Defense. Moving on.

Lions at Seahawks: I never really expected to be recommending Rashaad Penny at any point ever, but here we are. I do think this might be it for Russell Wilson in Seattle, so I have some small interest in Wilson and his main receivers. For Detroit, no Jared Goff, but since Amon-Ra St. Brown was fine without him last week, I'll still sign off on him, and the returning D'Andre Swift.

Cardinals at Cowboys: Big game, Cowboys offense should be very good, playing at home against a defense that's slipped and is missing some key players. The status of James Conner is key; if he plays, he and Chase Edmonds share time, if he's out, Edmonds looks pretty good as a full-time back, although not a great matchup for the running game or the offense in general. Kyler Murray looks fine for his all-around game and I'd chance Christian Kirk and Zach Ertz.

Vikings at Packers: I expect some Justin Jefferson questions, with Kirk Cousins sidelined and Sean Mannion starting. I think he's ranked appropriately; if I were choosing between him maybe 1-2 guys ranked immediately behind him who have better quarterbacks, I might choose them instead. Aside from the quarterback issue, it's going to be single-digit temperatures at Lambeau which has me cool on secondary targets for both teams -- K.J. Osborn, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Allen Lazard. Passing has to be affected when it's that cold. Not that I'm sitting Adams or Rodgers, but I'm less willing to take chances on mediocre talents. Packers should win this game fairly easily, but scoring should be a little off.

Browns at Steelers: What's a year without a nice Browns-Steelers Monday night game. This one won't be as high-scoring as the wild playoff game last year. Love Nick Chubb, fine with Najee Harris, Diontae Johnson, Pat Freiermuth. That seems to be about it. Kareem Hunt apparently might return, let's see what he does in practice today. But should be mostly Chubb, I think.

Happy New Year! Enjoy the games.
