Question

The Raiders return to the postseason today. Who was the last player on that franchise to throw a touchdown pass in a playoff game?

Answer

Connor Cook. In 2016, the Raiders went 12-4, but Derek Carr suffered a season-ending injury in their next-to-last game. His backup, Matt McGloin, in Week 17 also got hurt. So for their playoff opener at Houston, Cook (a fourth-round pick out of Michigan State) started his only game as a pro. It did not go well. He went 18 of 145 for 161 yards, with 3 interceptions in a 27-14. Midway through the fourth quarter of that game, Cook threw an 8-yard touchdown to Andre Holmes.
