Question

Which state has produced the most current NFL players per capita? Not looking at where they played their college ball but instead where they originally came from (tabulated by the league using locations of high schools).

Answer

Georgia. According to the figures supplied by the league, it has 151 current players and a population of 10.7 million, making for an average of one player per every 71,000 people. That comes in just ahead of Louisiana. Rest of the top 10: Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Utah, Maryland, Delaware, Texas and South Carolina.
