Question
What are the only two teams that have had two different players run for over 100 yards in Super Bowl games?
Answer
Raiders and Commanders. For Washington, Timmy Smith (204 yards vs. Denver in 1988) and John Riggins (166 vs. Miami in 1983). For the Raiders, it was done by Clarence Davis (137 yards vs. Vikings in 1977) and Marcus Allen (191 vs. Washington in 1984). Both Davis and Allen, by the way, also played their college football for the same team – Southern Cal. (The Raiders on Thursday posted a story on their website announcing that Davis had died but later deleted the story – he’s alive and well at 73.)
