Question
Mason Crosby tonight will play in his 255th straight game for the Packers, tying Brett Favre’s team record. (Favre played in 299 straight, but the last 44 of those games with other teams.) Who is the only player (now retired) who has played in more consecutive games for a team?
Answer
Jim Marshall. Marshall played for Cleveland as a rookie. He was then traded to the expansion Vikings. He played for Minnesota from 1961 to 1979, playing in all 270 games. Two players have appeared in more consecutive games than Marshall, but both did so while playing for at least four teams: Jeff Feagles (352 games) and Favre (299).
