Question

Daniel Jones on Sunday carried the ball 17 times for 78 yards, helping the Giants win at Minnesota. In NFL history, who is the only quarterback who has carried the ball more times in a playoff game?

Answer

Lamar Jackson. In January, 2020, Jackson carried the ball 20 times for 143 yards for Baltimore in a playoff game against Tennessee. Despite that production, the Ravens lost that game 28-12. When those teams met again in the playoffs the following season, Jackson put up similar rushing numbers (16 for 136), with the Ravens winning that one 20-13. Two other quarterbacks have run it more than 12 times in a playoff game. Colin Kaepernick carried 16 times for 181 yards to help the 49ers beat Green Bay in January, 2013, and Deshaun Watson carried 14 times for 55 yards for Houston in an overtime win over Buffalo in January, 2020.
