Question

In each of the last three years, four NFL teams have been led in rushing by running backs who played their college football at Alabama. Derrick Henry, Josh Jacobs, Najee Harris and Brian Robinson. (And Alabama actually gets up to 5 players in 2021 if Jalen Hurts is included.) What are the only other two schools in the 32-team era who’ve had four different running backs lead teams in rushing in the same year?

Answer

Tennessee and Miami. In 2005 and 2007, Clinton Portis, Frank Gore, Willis McGahee and Edgerrin James led teams in rushing; they all played for the Hurricanes.
