Week 9 of the NFL season kicks off tonight, with a probable lower-scoring Titans-Steelers game. Week 9 of Index Bets is also available, and you can subscribe for the month of November (or the rest of the season) at the Fantasy Index Store.

Each week, I sift through the player values, prop bets and over-under projections at FanDuel and DraftKings and compare them with the projections in Fantasy Index Weekly. In Index Bets, I select about two dozen of my favorite -- and least favorite -- bets of the week. Yardage props, anytime touchdowns, over-unders; wherever the best values seem to be.

I also identify some good (and bad) values for FanDuel and DraftKings salary cap lineup type games; players with low prices who should perform like top options, or high prices who won't be worth it.

The Bears have been surprisingly tough on the run this year, but very leaky against the pass. Derek Carr has an over-under passing number of just 244.5. He should be over that total, in a week where it will be tougher to run but Carr will be passing plenty (even if a lot of it is short dumpoffs).

Hand in hand with the Carr expectations, Rashid Shaheed has a receiving figure of just 28.5. He may be technically the team’s No. 3 wideout, but he keeps making big plays, and this is a defense that will serve some up. Shaheed has finished under 28 yards in just one game all season....

This report is just a small snippet of the Week 9 edition of Index Bets. The newsletter includes about two dozen similar recommendations for this weekend; monthly or full-season pricing works out to just $5 week. If you're in a state that allows it, happy betting!
