JaMycal Hasty, previously with the Jacksonville Jaguars, won't be returning to their practice squad as he was claimed off waivers by the New England Patriots. This move comes just two days after the Jaguars waived Hasty, making space for CB Gregory Junior's return from injured reserve.

The Patriots, who are struggling with a 2-8 record, was third in the waiver wire order.

Hasty was with the Jaguars in August 2022, following his release from the San Francisco 49ers where he climbed to the second spot on the depth chart.

Hasty recorded a total of 194 rushing yards, 126 receiving yards, and three touchdowns in 2022. However, offseason changes to the Jaguars' roster, relegated Hasty to the fourth running back option. This season, he was a healthy scratch in five games and didn't manage a single play in the three games he was active.

With running back options, Rhamondre Stevenson, Ezekiel Elliott, and Ty Montgomery on their roster, it's unclear where Hasty will end up for the Patriots as they enter the second half of the season.
