Out since Week 7, running back Kyren Williams returned to practice on Wednesday and is expected to play on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals according to head coach Sean McVay.
LA Rams RB Williams, who suffered an ankle injury in Week 6 and was placed on injured reserve, has returned to practice and is expected to play.
The injury came during the fourth quarter, after Williams, the second-year breakout rushed 20 times for 158 yards and a touchdown in a 26–9 win over the Cardinals. After exiting the game, Williams’ status was diagnosed with an ankle sprain.
Williams was showing signs of a breakout season before his injury and he had accumulated 456 rushing yards and six touchdowns as well as 13 receptions for 105 yards and a receiving touchdown. At the time of the injury, he was among the top scorers in the NFL, tying for the third-most in the league.
With his ability to contribute significantly both as a runner and receiver, his return iseagerly awaited by the team and fans alike.
