Question
What man spent 12 years as a head coach in the NFL and had a winning record in all 12 of those seasons? The two franchises where he was a head coach play this week.
Answer
George Allen. He coached the Rams from 1966-1970, going 49-17-4, and he spent the next seven years with Washington, going 67-30-1. That’s a career winning percentage over 71 percent. Only two coaches with at least 100 games finished with a better winning percentage, but both coached for only 10 seasons even (Vince Lombardi, John Madden).
