Ravens’ HC John Harbaugh confirmed that running back Keaton Mitchell suffered a season-ending left knee injury in the fourth quarter. “It looks like he won't be back for the rest of this season,” Harbaugh said.

As the Baltimore Ravens secured their spot in the playoffs with a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, they faced a setback with the injury of promising running back Keaton Mitchell. During the fourth quarter of their 23-7 victory, Mitchell, an undrafted rookie, suffered a severe left knee injury after being tripped and had to be carted off the field.

Coach John Harbaugh expressed doubt about Mitchell's return this season, adding to the team's offensive challenges. Previously, the Ravens lost starting running back J.K. Dobbins and tight end Mark Andrews to season-affecting injuries.

With Mitchell sidelined, the Ravens, who boast the NFL's top rushing offense, will now lean on Gus Edwards and Justice Hill. Harbaugh also mentioned plans to promote Melvin Gordon from the practice squad to the active roster.

The 21-year old Mitchell was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Ravens after the 2023 NFL Draft and will finish his season with 47 rushing attempts, 396 yards, average 8.4 yards/carry, 2 touchdowns and 9 receiving yards.

The Ravens face the NFC West leading San Francisco 49ers (11-3), the AFC East leading Miami Dolphins (10-4), and AFC North rivals Pittsburgh Steelers (7-7) in their last three games this season.
