Colts' WR Michael Pittman Jr. clears concussion protocol according to head coach Shane Steichen.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. has successfully cleared concussion protocol and is ready to make his return to the field this Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons it was announced Friday by HC Steichen.

Earlier this week, the NFL took a firm stance against Pittsburgh Steelers safety Damontae Kazee in response to his hit on Pittman during last Saturday's game at Lucas Oil Stadium. The league's announcement on Monday suspending Kazee for the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs due to his "repeated violations of playing rules designed to safeguard the health and safety of players."

Pittman was forced to leave the game due to a concussion after sustaining a brutal hit from Kazee. The Pittsburgh safety received a penalty for unnecessary roughness and was ejected from the game during the second quarter for leading with his helmet as Pittman was diving and extending for a pass from quarterback Gardner Minshew II.

The Colts finish their season with games against the Atlanta Falcons, Las Vegas Raiders, and AFC South division rivals, Houston Texans.

The Colts are currently in a 3-way tie with Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans for first place and currently have a 58.7 percent chance of making the playoffs.
