Question
Justin Jefferson finished the year with 68 catches for 1,074 yards, and he managed those numbers despite playing in only 10 games. Who is the only player in in the Super Bowl era to finish a season with more than 1,000 receiving yards while playing in even fewer games?
Answer
Wes Chandler, San Diego Chargers. In the strike-shortened 1982 season, Chandler caught 49 passes for 1,032 yards in only eight games. Two other players have had 1,000-yard seasons with fewer than 12 games: Jim Benton (Rams) in nine games in 1945, and Don Hutson (Packers) in 11 games in 1942.
