Baker Mayfield kept the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ 2023 season alive with an astounding performance, finishing with 22 completions for 336 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions. His shortest touchdown pass was 23 yards to Chris Godwin.
But aside from setting up a date with the Detroit Lions in the Divisional Round, Mayfield earned more incentive money after surviving the Wild Card Round. As stipulated in his one-year contract, Mayfield will earn an additional $250,000 for every playoff win, wherein he will play 75 percent of the snaps on offense.
Baker Mayfield's 1-year contract with the Bucs includes $4.5M in incentives. With Mayfield starting, he'll have a shot at earning them.

That amount increased the total incentive money he earned to $3.85 million. He earned $2 million after playing at least 85 percent of Tampa Bay’s snaps on offense and $1 million after the Buccaneers clinched a playoff berth.
Mayfield pocked an additional $600,000 for finishing in the top ten in passing yards and touchdowns. He finished ninth with 4,044 yards and seventh with 28 passing touchdowns.
He could earn another $250,000 if he can lead the Buccaneers to a road win over Detroit. Doing so brings them to the NFC Championship game, a spot the team failed to reach last season with Tom Brady.
But once this season ends, Mayfield will be a free agent unless the Buccaneers offer him the franchise tag worth roughly $35 million. Likewise, the team could offer him a long-term deal, given how he performed in his first season.
