Dodgers favored to win 2024 World Series

With the Opening Day of the 2024 Major League Baseball fast approaching, Fox Sports Bet released its latest odds for the World Series champions. The Los Angeles Dodgers lead the pack at +320 after having a busy offseason.

The 2020 World Series champions added last year’s American League Most Valuable Player Shohei Ohtani to their roster via a ten-year, $700 million contract. His arrival gives the Dodgers three former MVPs: Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Freddie Freeman.

But they didn’t stop there, as they also brought in Tyler Glasnow via trade with the Tampa Bay Rays. The Dodgers signed Glasnow to a five-year, $135 million extension. Four days before 2023 ended, the Dodgers welcomed three-time Nippon Professional Baseball Pacific League Most Valuable Player Yoshinobu Yamamoto via a 12-year, $325 million contract.

Los Angeles’ National League team brought in Teoscar Hernandez on a one-year, $23.5 million deal and James Paxton via a one-year, $11 million contract. Aside from these additions, the Dodgers also re-signed Jason Heyward, Joe Kelly, Ryan Brasier, and Clayton Kershaw.

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Braves are second at +450. The Houston Astros are third at +700, while the New York Yankees are fourth at +800. The defending World Series champions, the Texas Rangers, are fifth at +1400.

Here are the Fox Sports Bet odds for 2024 World Series champions as of February 28.
