Former Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams navigated his Pro Day at the University of Southern California under the watchful eye of NFL front-office executives, scouts, and coaches. This was their chance to see him throw in person after he declined to participate in those drills during the Scouting Combine.

Present during Williams’ Pro Day are Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles, head coach Matt Eberflus, offensive coordinator Shane Waldron, and new acquisition Keenan Allen.

The Bears are looking for a new starting quarterback after trading 2021 first-round selection Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Without Fields, Tyson Bagent and Brett Rypien are their remaining quarterbacks under contract.

Meanwhile, then Washington Commanders were also present during the USC Pro Day, represented by general manager Adam Peters, head coach Dan Quinn, and offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. It’s noteworthy that Kingsbury was USC’s senior offensive analyst last season, Williams’ last year with the Trojans.

While the Commanders hold the second overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, they have added Marcus Mariota to their quarterback rotation. Trading Sam Howell to the Seattle Seahawks means they are left with Mariota and Jake Fromm as quarterbacks for now.

In two seasons at USC and one season at Oklahoma, Williams finished his college football career with 735 completions out of 1,099 attempts for 9,782 yards, 93 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. He added 966 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns.
