After earning two Gold Glove Awards in his first two Major League Baseball seasons, Cleveland Guardians outfielder Steven Kwan proves he can also excel from the batter’s box.
Early in the 2024 season, Kwan leads the American League in batting average (.386) and runs (13). He also has the most hits among all players, with 22 in 12 games. Trailing him are Shohei Ohtani (21), Will Smith (21), and Mookie Betts (20).

The third-year player adds five RBIs, two home runs, and a stolen base to his tally.
Kwan has six multi-hit games in their first four series. He had a three-hit game against the Oakland Athletics, the Seattle Marines, the Minnesota Twins, and the Chicago White Sox. He had seven hits against the White Sox alone, leading to two RBIs and ten total bases.
While Kwan isn't exactly known for his batting, he did have decent averages of .298 and .268 in his first two seasons. However, his current pace helped the Guardians to the American League Central's best record at 9-3.
Guardians fans hope Steven Kwan can maintain his impressive hitting when the team starts its three-game series against the New York Yankees on April 12 at 7:10 p.m. Eastern Time.
