After playing 27 games for the Los Angeles Dodgers, infielder Michael Busch plays for the Chicago Cubs in the 2024 Major League Baseball season. He’s making waves right now after starting a terrific batting streak.

Busch finished the 2023 season with two home runs. But after 15 games in 2024, he already has five homers and 11 RBIs. What's more impressive is that he had a home run in four straight games.

He started his streak during the Cubs' loss to the San Diego Padres on April 10. He put his team on the board after connecting on a two-run home run against Dylan Cease in the top of the fourth inning. Those were the only points Chicago scored during that 10-2 defeat.

Two days later, he had another home run when the Cubs faced the Seattle Mariners. Busch drilled Ryne Stanek's pitch in the top of the ninth inning, trimming Seattle's advantage to two, 4-2. However, Chicago couldn't force a tie, sending them to their third loss in four games.

However, the Cubs' fortunes changed on April 13 when they defeated the Mariners 4-1. Busch connected on a solo home run against Bryce Miller in the top of the seventh inning, extending their lead to 3-1.

Finally, Michael Busch tallied his fourth consecutive game with a home run in the Cubs' 3-2 victory over Seattle on April 14. He completed a two-run home run in the top of the fourth inning against Luis Castillo, giving the Cubs what turned out to be the winning run.

Those home runs improved Busch's batting average to .327. He has 11 RBIs, 16 hits, and three doubles in 49 at-bats.

More importantly, the two-game winning streak improved the Cubs' record to 9-6. Busch will try to keep his streak going when they start their three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks on April 15 at 8:40 p.m. CDT.
