Chiefs Host Ravens in 2024 Season Kickoff Game

The National Football League has announced that the Baltimore Ravens will face the Kansas City Chiefs for the first game of the 2024 season. NBC will broadcast the game from Arrowhead Stadium on September 5, 2024, at 8:20 p.m. Eastern Time.

It will be a rematch of last season’s American Football Conference Championship Game, which the Chiefs won on the road before defeating the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58. It’s the first time since 2018 that the AFC title game has not been staged in Kansas City. Still, the AFC West franchise survived with a 17-10 victory.

A year later, the NFL’s 105th season opener will also jumpstart the Chiefs’ quest for an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl title.

Patrick Mahomes will lead the charge for the Chiefs after lifting his third Vince Lombardi Trophy and winning his third Super Bowl MVP award. Travis Kelce, Isiah Pacheco, and Marquise Brown are joining him on offense. Chris Jones, George Karlaftis, Nick Bolton, and Trent McDuffie will lead the Kansas City defense.

Conversely, the Ravens had the AFC’s best record last season before losing to the Chiefs. Two-time Most Valuable Player Lamar Jackson and All-Pro running back Derrick Henry lead their charge. On offense, they will get help from Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, and Mark Andrews.

Meanwhile, their stacked defense will feature Justin Madubuike, Roquan Smith, Kyle Van Noy, Marlon Humphrey, and Kyle Hamilton.
