The Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills made some roster additions in time for mandatory minicamp. The Vikings signed veteran tight end Robert Tonyan, who has also played for NFC North teams Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.
In his lone season with the Bears, he had 11 catches for 112 yards in 17 games. Before playing for Chicago, he spent five seasons with the Packers after signing as an undrafted free agent. His best year in Green Bay came in 2020 when he had 586 yards and 11 touchdowns.
If he makes the final roster, Tonyan will allow starting tight end T.J. Hockenson to take some rest. Josh Oliver and Johnny Mundt are also vying for a roster spot at tight end.

Meanwhile, the Bills signed Dee Delaney after releasing wide receiver Quintez Cephus. Delaney played the last three seasons for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, finishing with 71 tackles, seven pass deflections, and three interceptions.
Like Tonyan, he was an undrafted free agent before signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2018. He also suited up for the Miami Dolphins but did not appear in an official game. A year later, Delaney played one game for Washington.
He had a one-year hiatus from football before signing with the Buccaneers. Delaney made his first NFL start in October 2021 and got his first interception in the same game against the Chicago Bears. The former Miami standout will compete for a roster spot against a stacked Buffalo secondary featuring Rasul Douglas, Kaiir Elam, Taylor Rapp, Mike Edwards, Christian Benford, and Taron Johnson.
