Teoscar Hernandez was among the players brought by the Los Angeles Dodgers for the 2024 Major League Baseball season. He signed a one-year, $23.5 million deal with a team that got swept in the National League Division Series despite winning 100 regular season games.
He proved his worth that salary after being named the NL’s best player from June 3 to 9, 2024. In six games, he hit .360/.429/.960 with a 1.389 OPS. Those numbers translate to nine hits, four home runs, and ten RBIs.
Can we get a Player of the Week, the Teoscar way?

That week, Hernandez and the Dodgers had a six-game road schedule, split between three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates and the New York Yankees. After failing to register a hit in eight at-bats in the first two games against Pittsburgh, he had three hits, a home run, and an RBI during the series closer on June 6.
That game inspired him to achieve better numbers against the Yankees. He had six hits in 12 at-bats in three games, resulting in three home runs and nine RBIs.
His performance last week brought his hitting averages to .266/.333/.849 for the season. He has 68 hits, 16 home runs, and 48 RBIs in 256 at-bats.
Meanwhile, the Dodgers won three of those six games, helping them sustain their lead in the National League West over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
After six games on the road, Hernandez and the Dodgers will have a six-game home stand. Their three-game series versus the Texas Rangers will start on June 11. Three days later, they will start another series versus the Kansas City Royals.
