Center Connor Williams was limited to nine games in 2023 because of a season-ending ACL tear he suffered during their Week 14 game against the Tennessee Titans. Before that condition, he also missed some time due to a groin injury.
While his two-year, $14 million contract with the Miami Dolphins has expired, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter says Williams will be ready to play by the start of 2024. Therefore, he is in discussions with teams that are interested in his services. Williams will sign with an NFL squad before training camp starts.

The former Texas standout will be entering his sixth NFL season. He spent his first four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, who picked him in Round 2 of the 2018 NFL draft. But after finishing his rookie-scale contract, he joined the Dolphins and switched from offensive guard to center.
Despite playing the fewest games in his career, Williams received a career-high 86.5 overall grade from Pro Football Focus. While he did better in run blocking (90.5), he still earned an impressive 71.7 in 2023. Williams didn’t have a run-blocking grade below 62.6 throughout his 2023 campaign. More importantly, he allowed only one sack and four hurries in 497 offensive snaps last season.
At 27, Connor Williams can be an asset to any NFL team if he remains healthy. His game is trending up, making him a highly-considerable free agent for teams looking to bolster their offensive line.
