NFL analyst Warren Sharp revealed that the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Rams, and Kansas City Chiefs have the most expensive price tags on offense. Spending money on that side of the ball might have helped them become playoff contenders.
The Browns rank first with a $191 million bill on their offensive players. That amount includes the $46 million annual salary on Deshaun Watson’s fully guaranteed contract. Meanwhile, wide receiver Amari Cooper has a base salary of $20 million.
In second place are the Rams, with a $190.7 million price on offense. Matthew Stafford takes a chunk of that amount with a base salary of $31 million. Cooper Kupp will earn $15 million this year, while offensive linemen Rob Havenstein, Jonah Jackson, and Kevin Dotson have a combined $21.5 million base salary.
Finally, the Chiefs are third at $170.7 million. While Patrick Mahomes doesn’t have the highest base salary, he counts for $37 million against the salary cap. Joe Thuney and Jawaan Taylor have a $50 million combined cap hit, while Travis Kelce is at $19.5 million.
Here are Sharp's complete rankings of the price tags for offensive units in the 2024 NFL season.
