Saints OT Ryan Ramczyk Out for the 2024 Season

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter shared that New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk will be out for the season after being placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform (PUP) list before training camp started. The league’s rules state that players who remain on that list before the final reduction will skip the entire season.

Ramczyk played in 12 games for the Saints last season, getting 97 percent of the snaps while incurring only four penalties in 785 snaps. Pro Football Focus gave him a 73.5 overall rating and a 73.6 pass-blocking rate after allowing four sacks and 25 quarterback pressures in 2023.

The former Wisconsin standout has been a stalwart for the Saints offensive line since joining the team in 2017. Ramczyk is among the league's best offensive tackles, as proven by his three All-Pro selections. However, missing the 2024 season raises concerns regarding his NFL future.

With Ramczyk out for the year, Trevor Penning can step into the starting right tackle role. Meanwhile, rookie Taliese Fuaga could cover Derek Carr's blind side at left tackle.
