The Seattle Seahawks finalized a three-year, $36 million contract extension with safety Julian Love. This deal could keep him in Seattle until the 2027 NFL season.
Love is coming off his first Pro Bowl season, wherein he finished with 123 tackles, four interceptions, and two forced fumbles. Those numbers indicate that he's thriving with the Seahawks. But after a breakout season, the Seahawks expect him to perform according to his salary.
The Seahawks added Love last offseason via a two-year, $12 million contract. Before transferring to Seattle, Love played four seasons for the New York Giants, the team that drafted him in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. In his final year with the Giants, Love established career highs in tackles (124) and sacks (1).

More importantly, the defensive back from Notre Dame is rarely injured, missing only two games in five seasons (playoffs included). With Julian Love secured for four more seasons, Seattle could be building the second coming of the 'Legion of Boom' as he teams up with fellow safety Rayshawn Jenkins and cornerbacks Devon Witherspoon and Tariq Woolen.
