The Chicago Bears pulled off massive moves to boost their roster for the 2024 NFL season. In addition to free-agent signings D’Andre Swift and Keenan Allen, they drafted Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze in the first round.
Those moves seemed to come together as the Bears swept all four preseason games. They defeated the Houston Texans in a rain-shortened Hall of Fame game and dominated the Buffalo Bills a week later. The Bears completed the preseason with victories over the Cincinnati Bengals and the Kansas City Chiefs.
However, there was a scare during the Chiefs game when safety Douglas Coleman III went down on the field, and the entire Bears squad checked up on him.

While it's early to tell if these victories will translate to regular-season success, they're a fantastic morale booster for a squad that hasn't reached the postseason since 2020 and hasn't won a playoff game since 2010.
However, they have the players to make it work not just on offense but also on defense, led by playmakers Montez Sweat, linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, and All-Pro cornerback Jaylon Johnson.
The Bears will open the 2024 season at home against the Tennessee Titans. They will also play the Jacksonville Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in England before their Week 7 bye.
